Kowacie Reeves is one of the most highly-regarded players in the NCAA basketball 2021 recruiting class. How would he fit at each of his final six?

The recruiting processes of many Class of 2021 prospects have been sped up recently amidst the concerns regarding the spread of the coronavirus. Considering it seems unlikely that these players will suit up for their final AAU summers, programs that initiated their scouting and relationship-building early seem to be a step ahead of others. That could be playing a role in the recruitments of many top players in the class, including shooting guard Kowacie Reeves (Macon, GA).

A budding superstar in the 2021 class, Reeves recently cut his list to just six schools: Georgia, Clemson, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Stanford, and Florida. While all of these programs are well-respected in the college basketball landscape, none are the traditional powerhouses that fans might be used to seeing linked to top-rated players. That makes this one of the more interesting recruiting battles in the country to follow over the next few months.

Reeves is currently ranked at No. 68 in the class by 247Sports Composite and he could be an immediately impactful performer at the collegiate level. He brings plenty of size to the backcourt with his 6-foot-6 frame and he also boasts a smooth shot from beyond the arc. Reeves has shown significant improvement over the past year and it is likely that he would have continued to rise up recruiting rankings during the coming months as a result. He is still trending up.

By cutting his list of potential destinations, Reeves took the next step in his recruiting process. There is not a clear timeline for his eventual commitment, but it is expected that he will make his decision “sometime in the spring“. Let’s dive into his final list to determine how he might fit at each school.
