After a somewhat quiet coaching carousel, which NCAA Basketball head coaches enter next season on the hot seat?

Each and every offseason there are major changes in NCAA Basketball. Some teams change conferences while major rules are enacted by the NCAA. Thousands of players graduate and move on while hundreds more transfer to other schools. Additionally, numerous schools change head coaches, igniting the yearly coaching carousel.

There are schools with coaches who have been there for decades, while others seem to run through coaches at a rapid pace. Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, there might have been limited offseason action in relation to the coaching carousel. Since there wasn’t postseason play, perhaps a few head coaches saved their jobs for additional years. Unfortunately, it could have also cost mid-major coaches a chance for their teams to impress and earn them a new job.

One major result of this development is that next year’s coaching carousel could be pretty active. Depending on how some teams play next season, there could be a long list of head coaches looking for new employment. We’re going to focus on some of these head coaches, all of whom are at least somewhat coaching on hotter seats.

We’re going to run through 15 head coaches, moving from those with cold seats to those with some much hotter seats. These are all power conference coaches, though it’s true that a number of mid-majors could be making some changes in the near future. Without further ado, let’s start running through some of these names.
