Where are the top senior high school basketball players from all 50 states going to NCAA Basketball?

The prep basketball season ended way too early across the nation. Still, there were several standout performers and future NCAA Basketball players during the 2019-20 campaign, and each state had a player named player of the year. Here is a look at Maxpreps and Gatorade award winners.

I only listed the states that had seniors that earned an award. That is why players from Arizona, Connecticut, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, South Dakota, Tennessee, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming are listed as underclassmen were the award winners.

Alabama: Colby Jones, Mountain Brook (Birmingham)

Colby Jones averaged 25 points and eight rebounds while leading Mountain Brook to the 7A state title game. The three-plus star wing will play at Xavier this upcoming campaign. He is ranked as the 97th best prospect in the country by Rivals (4-stars). 247Sports has Jones as a four-star-star prospect (No. 118). Meanwhile, 247Sports Composite gave him three-stars and ranks him at No. 126.

Alaska: Isaiah Moses, Dimond (Anchorage)

Isaiah Moses earned Alaska’s Gatorade POY award after averaging  27.2 points, 4.9 assists, and 2.3 steals while leading Dimond to a 19-4 record in 2019-20. The 6-foot guard racked up 1,369 points in four years with the Lynx and participated in three straight state championship games, which included capturing a state title in 2017. He will play for Division-II Alaska-Anchorage, which is coming off a 20-14 season and an appearance in the GNAC Tournament final.

Arkansas: Chris Moore, West Memphis; Jaylin Williams (Ft. Smith)

Chris Moore is the MaxPreps state POY and Jaylin Williams earned the nod from Gatorade. Moore led West Memphis to the 5A state title game as he averaged 18.7 points and 16.3 boards during the state tournament. The four-star forward will play for the Auburn Tigers. Meanwhile, Jaylin Williams averaged 19.6 points, 12.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 2.5 blocks, and 1.1 steals per game in leading Northside (20-10) to a berth in the state 6A semifinals. He finished his three-year varsity career with 1,216 points and a program-high 826 rebounds. The four-star center is headed to Arkansas.
