8. Jhivvan Jackson (UTSA)

You see this name and probably think that Jackson should not be on this list because UTSA was very bad last year and was out in the first round of the C-USA tournament. But Jackson has been an elite scorer since he was a freshman. Jackson averaged 18 points as a freshman, 22 points as a sophomore, and 26 points this past year. The reason why UTSA was bad this past year was simply that Jackson was basically the whole team last year. Keaton Wallace averaged 18, but the next highest scorer was six points a game.

Jackson had some outstanding performances this year. As he had two 40+ point games, and 10 30+ point games this year. Jackson also was selected to the first-team All-C-USA team and was the only player to be elected to the first team two consecutive years. With all that Jackson broke the C-USA record for points a game and broke UTSA school records for points scored, field goals made, and three-pointers made in a season.

Jackson really reminds me of Erick Green in 2013. A really good player on a bad team. Hopefully next year Jackson and Keaton Wallace can get some more help, because if so this team could be dangerous in the C-USA.
