Miami Hurricanes

The Miami Hurricanes finished the 2019-20 season ranked 10th in the ACC with a 15-16 (7-13 ACC) record. They were led by guards Chris Lykes (15 points per game, 38 percent three-point shooter), Dejan Vasiljevic (13 points, four rebounds per game), and Kameron McGusty (12 points, four rebounds per game). Lykes and McGusty have the opportunity to come back for their senior seasons while Vasiljevic will no longer be with the team. The Hurricanes notched key wins against Illinois, Temple, Clemson, Pitt, Virginia Tech twice, and Syracuse.

Williams would give the Hurricanes a versatile wing player who could come in and contribute right away should he impress their coaching staff next offseason. The Hurricanes have Earl Timberlake and Matt Cross on board for the 2020-21 season. Timberlake is likely moving to the two-guard spot and Cross to power forward. Both of them are four-star wing players who could make an impact for the team. Larranaga has had success with players from the DMV area.

Lykes is a good example having played his high school basketball at Gonzaga College High School. Miami needs depth at the wing spot and Williams could be a key piece as they build up that position in recruiting and player development.
