Butler basketball put together one of its best regular-seasons in 2019-20 behind Kamar Baldwin and Co. What were some of the best games?

Butler basketball entered the 2019-20 season without high prospects as it was picked to finish just eighth in the Big East. Yet, the Dawgs shattered all of those expectations behind a defensive resurgence and a superstar senior guard as they finished the year with a 22-9 (10-8 BE) record.

The team spent most of the season ranked in the AP Top 25 and was destined to land a Top 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament prior to its cancelation.

The campaign represented Butler’s return to national prominence after a down season in the year prior and it would have ended in the program’s 11th Big Dance appearance in the last 14 years. Head coach LaVall Jordan’s team took the court as a unit and was clearly out on a mission to prove that it could be one of the better teams in the nation.

Several players made significant offseason improvements and that led to some spectacular moments over the course of the year. To put it simply, this was not an ordinary season in terms of how the games transpired. That was the case for every program in the nation considering the way things ended, but Butler’s journey was vastly different than most.

Injuries certainly played a part in some of the roller-coaster portions of the year but the main headliners were the sensational comebacks and game-winners that made this team one of the most clutch in all of college basketball.

So, before diving entirely into the future for the program, let’s take a look back at the five best games of Butler’s 2019-20 season. Spoiler Alert: There are about to be a lot of words on Kamar Baldwin.
