This season a lot of players most commonly associated with a particular NCAA Basketball program have either graduated or left for the pro ranks. Here are 10 teams looking for a new face of their program.

In an era of one and done and players choosing to skip college to play either overseas or in the G-League before entering the NBA, the 2019-20 season that was cut short, could have been dubbed the “Year of the Senior.” A large number of star NCAA Basketball players stuck it out all four years and graduated, becoming the name most closely associated with the school in the process.

Now, these programs are looking to someone new to be the face of their program. Being the face of a program is more than leading the team in points, although that helps, being the face of a program is also being the guy that most opponents focus their defensive game plans around and their programs can market their team around in a given season.

When a school loses the guy considered to be the face of the franchise that doesn’t necessarily mean that a team’s success will take a step backward. All teams hope that the culture that they have cultivated would allow them to continue or even elevate their success even when the face of the program has graduated. But, becoming the face of a program isn’t something that is awarded from a coach or voted on by fellow teammates, becoming “the guy”, as any coach would tell you, much like leadership, is something that is earned through a player’s actions.

Here are 10 programs that are looking for a new face for their program and a look at some guys who could step into that role on their respective teams.
