NCAA Basketball grad transfer guard Micheal Flowers is down to four teams to choose from. Which of them currently is the best fit?

It can be hard for NCAA Basketball mid-major programs to keep their rosters in check during this era of massive transfer upheaval. The top players from smaller teams could easily leave each offseason for bigger destinations. That’s the case for Western Michigan, who lost both Brandon Johnson and Michael Flowers to the portal over a month ago.

Both players were immediately sought after by high major programs, particularly since each is grad transfers who can play next season. As for the forward Johnson, he elected to play for the Minnesota Gophers. As for Flowers, he had a list of final four teams to choose from but has since decided to hold off a decision. It could be that he’s waiting for other teams to get involved or possibly holding out an opportunity for those finalists to be able to host visits so that the guard can make what he feels is the right decision.

For whichever team he lands on, they’ll get a proven scorer in Flowers who put up at least 15 ppg in the past two seasons, 16.9 ppg in 2019-20. The shooting percentages from the field overall are solid (43-37-84) and is capable of monster performances. He reached 20+ points on nine different occasions, including a career-high 35 points against Toledo in the MAC Tournament.

Of the four teams still reportedly involved for Flowers, there have been some roster developments since the finalists were announced. Which one of them is in a better position to land Flowers? Here’s a closer look at each potential situation.
