Several NCAA Basketball programs brought in their highest-ever ranked recruit. Here’s a closer look at some of the new faces of college hoops.

Making the right NCAA Basketball decision is crucial for any recruit’s career. You have to pick the right program, weigh the pros and cons with family and friends all while being under a barrage of text messages, DMs from coaches, and notifications from your most recent highlight video. Yet for some, there’s soon a realization that not only are your summer plans booked, but you’ve also made history with your very signature.

For a handful of prospects, this is an ever-growing reality as we get closer to the end of coronavirus related sanctions. They’ll be the talk of the town well before they’ve moved into their dorm room.

The rush of bringing in a stellar recruit can elevate expectations from fans and analysts alike. Bringing in your best recruit in history however can change a program’s trajectory, especially if they’re one and done candidates which all but two of the guys on this list are projected to be.

The nine history-making teenagers in question will affect some of college basketball’s biggest schools. They’ll infuse their talent to four of the five power 5 conferences and a school that’s made it to the sweet sixteen five years in a row.

This is a list based on 247composite rankings, a system that averages the rankings of 247Sports, Rivals, and the ESPN 100, so I’m sorry if I’ve missed any players who made history at other programs. More coverage of college basketball recruiting and their incoming classes will come as the season approaches.
