15. TCU Horned Frogs: Eddie Lampkin

After a 7-11 Big 12 finish, Coach Jamie Dixon and TCU Basketball are set to lose three starters to graduation. A triumvirate of guards composed of Edric Dennis, Jaire Drayer, and Desmond Bane will be missed on the Fort Worth campus, the individual currently sitting in the transfer portal is also of interest. Once Russell Barlow finds somebody interested in his two points and 74 total minutes in 13 games over two seasons at TCU, it will create room for a 2020 commit from Morton Ranch, 6’10 Eddie Lampkin.

Lampkin is not currently ranked overall nationally and is number 38 at his position. Currently, Lampkin will only be prepared to play limited minutes in a back-up role even though his weight is probably closer to his lowest registered weight at 260 pounds than his highest of 305 pounds.

Lampkin is first on this list, for his offensive impact is going to be limited. The center who had 15 offers including from Big 12 rival Baylor as well as visiting Arkansas, will make his impact on the defensive end and on the boards.

Lampkin’s impact will not be noticeable in the box score, but his ability to clog the lane, bang bodies and grab the boards will be felt on the court.  He will not make the All-Big 12 Freshman Team, but he is an upgrade over Russell Barlow.
