Top-100 NCAA Basketball prospect KJ Adams has 10 teams to choose from. Which of them are the best fits for the forward?

The state of Texas produces a ton of NCAA Basketball prospects every season, including several in the top-100 overall. The 2021 recruiting class is no different, led by top-30 recruits Manny Obaseki, Harrison Ingram and Daimion Collins. There are others ranked in the top-100 to keep an eye on as well, including KJ Adams from Austin, Texas.

At 6’7 and 200 pounds, Adams is a versatile athlete who can play both forward positions. At Westlake this past season, he averaged over 22 ppg and six rebounds a game at 61% shooting from the field overall. During AAU season, he showed the ability to shoot the ball from three-point range and defend against top-tier competition, making him one of the top players in the region and a sought-after 2021 target.

While five-star recruits get a lot of attention, the four-stars and top-100 prospects are the pillars of a program’s success. They’re more likely to be around for 3-4 years unless they break out early on, which would be of great benefit to respective teams regardless.

Now with an official list of contenders, it’s time to take a look at where Adams could potentially land at. Given the location, it’s not surprising that half of the list features Big 12 programs. But looking at the other teams here, there are some intriguing options for this prospect to consider.

Which of these NCAA Basketball programs are the best potential fits for the class of 2021 forward? Here’s an examination of each team’s projected rosters and overall situations for the 2021-22 season.
