Iowa State Cyclones

Few teams have been as aggressive in the transfer pool as the Cyclones, who have been after everyone it seems but has only picked up 5’9 guard from Memphis Tyler Harris, who’ll be sitting out next season. They’re currently a finalist for DePaul grad transfer Jalen Coleman-Lands, who will provide a needed scoring boost alongside Rasir Bolton.

Iowa State does have Troy sit-out transfer Javan Johnson available for next season but will need more depth for the following campaign. There will be some power conference programs not interested in Tillman but the Cyclones need to find talent somewhere to make a move back towards the top half of the Big 12.

Oakland Grizzlies

Another local option for Tillman would be Oakland, who under head coach Greg Kampe has been a force to deal with in the Horizon League. They’ll be good with the return of leading scorer Rashad Williams, who averaged 19.5 ppg before missing the second half of the season with an injury. He’d be a senior along with Tillman two seasons from now and be a conference contender without question.

Coach Kampe has a history with transfer success, with former Illinois guard Kendrick Nunn now currently playing in the NBA with the Miami Heat. Tillman could follow the same path with a huge senior season, he just has to find the right spot and system. The offense that Oakland has could be the answer.
