Arkansas Razorbacks
It’s hard to truly analyze where Arkansas stands with “free agent” players, as they’re a finalist for just about all of them. That includes many transfers and top-tier class of 2021 recruits. But while I’m skeptical of players up east opting to play down south, the fact that Patterson has four SEC programs among the 10 gives the Razorbacks some hope.
Arkansas does have a need at the wing position after next season, with New Mexico grad transfer Vance Jackson only around for a year and Isaiah Joe certainly won’t make it to a senior season with this program. Patterson can find himself a role and play well for the program but again, who knows what the Hogs roster will look a year from now.
Auburn Tigers
The wing starter for the Tigers this past season was Isaac Okoro, who averaged 12.8 ppg and 4.4 rpg as a freshman. He elected to enter the 2020 NBA Draft, where he’s projected to be a lottery pick. Okoro is one of the top six leading scorers to depart, leaving the team with a young roster filled with underclassmen. There will be a need for a Patterson, with Devan Cambridge as the only capable wing on the 2020-21 roster.
Having taken an official visit to Auburn, Patterson clearly has an interest in Coach Pearl and the high-flying offense of the Tigers. They’re in play for several 2021 prospects, with this wing one of their most realistic targets.
