Former Utah guard Both Gach narrowed his transfer list down to five. Here is a look at how he would fit each of those NCAA Basketball schools.

Both Gach is one of the top available NCAA Basketball transfers still on the open market after he entered the transfer portal on the heels of a very solid sophomore season with the Utah Utes. While he could still pursue a professional opportunity, most believe he will withdraw his name from NBA consideration and find a new place to play college hoops next year.

Gach is a six-foot-six combo guard who stepped into a bigger role in his sophomore year, starting 25 of 27 games and averaging 10.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists for Utah.

Gach immediately drew a ton of interest, with 17 schools reportedly reaching out to the athletic guard: Minnesota, Arkansas, Nevada, BYU, Utah State, Auburn, Maryland, Vanderbilt, Creighton, Illinois, Georgetown, Oregon, New Mexico, DePaul, Gonzaga, USC, and Texas Tech.

Gach, despite not being able to make visits thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, recently released his top five schools on Twitter: Auburn, Iowa State, Creighton, Maryland, and Minnesota.

Gach did not say when he plans to make his final decision, but he is expected to apply for a waiver to play right away in the 2020-2021 season. However, that seems unlikely to be granted, barring an unforeseen circumstance, so we will assume he will begin contributing to his new team on the court in 2021-2022.

Here is a look at the five schools Gach is considering, and how he would fit into each of their programs for his two remaining years of eligibility.
