Kentucky Basketball’s overall more superior 2020 freshmen class

According to 247Sports, no team carries a greater freshmen class into next year than Kentucky, as the #1 nationally ranked team. Guards Terrence Clarke and BJ Boston both earned five-star ratings, likely already acquiring attention from some eager NBA scouts as potential superstars with unlimited capabilities.

Clarke possesses some elite athletic traits such as a quick first step and a skyrocketing vertical which both allow him to drive and score around the rim with ease. Also with game-breaking speed and elite passing skills, Clarke joins this team essentially as a virtually unguardable, one-man fast break threat.

Boston drew fame far earlier than most collegiate players, making waves across the internet after throwing down a ferocious dunk over the Greek Freak’s brother, Alex Antetokoumnpo. But beyond the media craze surrounding still him, Boston brings relentless three-point shooting skills and insane physical traits for a shooting guard to the table.

With a 6’10 wingspan, Boston’s reach extends far beyond the typical shooting guard’s, allowing him to potentially turn into an elite defender while also possessing enough length to shoot over anyone at the offensive end. As far as comparisons go, this Boston’s tops almost anyone else’s, as he eerily resembles Kevin Durant and Brandon Ingram.

Refusing to burn out after its top two talents, this class amazingly enough also goes deep with skill even beyond Clarke and Boston. Forwards Isaiah Jackson, Lance Ware and Cam’Ron Fletcher all earned four-star rankings, along with the team’s likely future ball-handler, Devin Askew.

Although essentially every other team also appears understaffed with their incoming freshmen class when compared to Kentucky, Louisville’s inferiority nonetheless helps silence any arguments pressing the Cardinals above their rivals for next year. Without a single five-star commit and just a pair of four-star guys, the Cardinals simply lack the firepower to contend with Kentucky.

Make no mistake however, this haul by Louisville stands as no recruiting class deemed untalented by any means, as D’Andre Davis and JJ Traynor both possess NBA upside. But Kentucky undoubtedly won this year’s recruiting campaign, snatching up the best of the best.

Ultimately, you would love to drive red corvette, but once your neighbor across the street parks his blue Lamborghini outside, your ride no longer looks preferable.
