Different people have different ways of comparing or ranking basketball conferences, but it’s true that WCC Basketball is certainly one of the most unique. The WCC has seen its fair share of successful and impressive basketball, though the league has belonged to Gonzaga for several decades. Regardless, every program has its own history and intrigue even if they play a secondary role to the Bulldogs.
Across these years, the league has included some fantastic mid-major coaches who have shaped their programs. While the coaches at Gonzaga may get most of the attention, there are have still been tremendous recruiters and coaching whizzes on the sidelines in the WCC. Some fine pacific coast basketball players have suited up for these programs, while others have done a tremendous job recruiting internationally.
We’re going to take an even closer look at the ten greatest head coaches of the WCC since 2000. While some of the names at the top of the list are obvious, it’ll be interesting to see some of the other coaches in this conference. We’ll be using things like wins and success as well as a coach’s impact on the program to determine their comparisons. There are plenty of coaches under consideration, but the ten we’re set to mention have stood out during their time in the WCC.
