NCAA Basketball: Analyzing 2021 4-Star F Arthur Kaluma’s final 8 schools

Arkansas Razorbacks
Eric Musselman is the king of the transfer market going back to his days as the Nevada head coach, but now he has taken his craft to Arkansas. After a successful first season with the program, he has maintained his prowess for securing players via transfer but also built a very strong class in and of itself. Anchored by top-100 guards Moses Moody, KK Robinson, and Davonte Davis, the Razorbacks are sure to continue their backcourt-heavy play.
Despite reaching the 20-win mark last season, Arkansas did not play well in conference play. They weren’t great at creating for each other or rebounding well and were frankly a bit 3-point centric. Adding Kaluma would provide some needed balance on the offense end of the floor for Musselman and the returning talent. As a typically 3-point averse shooter, he would be a strong asset in the middle of the floor to feed shooters, attack the rim or create opportunities for center Jaylin Williams.
His presence is needed defensively as well. The Razorbacks defended the perimeter well and understandably gave up a ton of looks inside the 3-point line. However, they were not very successful in keeping teams from scoring in this area and Kaluma’s physical frame and length would help to reduce the conversion rates of Arkansas’ opponents.
Given the program’s success recruiting under Musselman, Kaluma should not have issues recruiting talent to Fayetteville to play with him. The Razorbacks are in contention for 6 5-star players at the moment that could increase the talent arriving with Kaluma: guards Kennedy Chandler and Hunter Sallis, wings Harrison Ingram, Kendall Brown, and Peyton Watson and center Daimion Collins.
