3. Baylor Bears

While we’re all waiting for the NBA Draft decisions of both MaCio Teague and Jared Butler, the Bears are looking to rebuild the frontcourt for the following year. Both Tristan Clark and Mark Vital are rising seniors, while top-100 freshman center Dain Dainja and three-star Zach Loveday are currently unproven. That also goes for sit-out UNLV transfer Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua, and rising sophomore Flo Thamba.

Collins would rise over all of the returning frontcourt players and be a star for Baylor over time. Head coach Scott Drew’s profile has grown even more after this past season’s historic run, both in terms of x’s and o’s, as well as his ability to develop. In three years, he turned Freddie Gillespie from a former D-III player to an All-Big 12 performer. So imagine what he can do with someone with NBA potential already?

While the prestige of the Bears isn’t on the same level as a Kansas, they’re a possible top-3 preseason squad for the upcoming season and if they keep winning with transfers, should remain a clear Big 12 title threat. Between playing time, playing close to home, and working with a quality coaching staff, Baylor has a ton to offer for Collins both short and long term.
