Bowling Green Falcons

It looked as if Bowling Green was going to lose their best player to the portal this offseason in Justin Turner, who eventually decided to return after weeks as a free agent. That makes them a preseason No. 1 or 2 team in the MAC next season, with now four of five starters set to return.

The frontcourt for the Falcons is solid, led by 6’6 G/F Daeqwon Plowden (12.7 ppg and 8.5 rpg) and 6’11 center Tayler Mattos. But they can use more rebounding and defending on the interior to take the next step and Paulicap, even for 20-25 mpg can provide a great deal of production off the bench.

DePaul Blue Demons

After finishing at the bottom of the Big East last season, the Blue Demons added a number of transfers this offseason, primarily on the perimeter. Ray Salnave, Courvoisier McCauley, and recent Purdue-Fort Wayne wing Patrick Brian are eligible for next season, while former Valpo guard Javon Freeman-Liberty is looking for a waiver.

The perimeter is set but the frontcourt could use another addition. Paul Reed is off to the NBA Draft, leaving mainly Jaylen Butz and undersized power forward Romeo Weems inside on the projected rotation. Paulicap, who can play both forward positions, can be a primary backup on a team with enough talent to make a darkhorse run to the NCAA Tournament. Playing in the Big East can be appealing for someone that has played in the MAAC throughout his career.
