Top-20 center Charles Bediako narrowed down his NCAA Basketball choices Friday by trimming his list to 10 teams.

The Canadian prospect will choose between Alabama, Texas, Duke, Baylor, Maryland, Ohio State, Memphis, Michigan, USC and Tennessee. Prior to his updated recruitment news, Charles Bediako announced he will be transferring to prestigious IMG Academy for his senior season of high school basketball. Set to play alongside fellow 5-star center Efton Reid, the move will ensure significantly bigger exposure for him heading into his freshman season of college.

In the current era of basketball, post players are increasingly becoming more talented shooting the ball away from the basket. Bediako has some of those skills to stretch the floor as a big man, however he is not very reliant on this shot. His skills as a more traditional post player are a refreshing site.

Although he has a thinner body frame, his arm length and ability to get wide in the post are huge assets to his success on the floor. Bediako is a strong defender that alters a ton of shots and has the ability to guard forwards that can put the ball on the floor. He is particularly proficient as a weakside shot blocker, but is also one of the best rebounding prospects in the class with his attentiveness boxing out opponents.

He will be an anchor on that end of the floor for any of the schools left in consideration, but his offensive contributions will not go without notice either. The 6’11 center already has a refined arsenal of post-moves ahead of the step up in competition. Despite having a solid offensive game at this point in his development, Bediako will be looking for a team that can help him expand and further refine his skillset prior to pursuing his NBA aspirations.

Looking at his final list of schools, which programs offer the best situation for Bediako’s game?
