4. Xavier Musketeers

A player who has a similar style of play to Stanley from this past season was Naji Marshall, who averaged 16.8 ppg and 6.3 rpg as a junior. He’s off to the NBA Draft, with the Musketeers looking to use one of their newcomers from the 2020 recruiting class and grad transfer guard Nate Johnson to replace his production on the wing.

Xavier has top-100 power forward recruit Cesare Edwards committed in the 2021 class but there still is an open hole on the roster at the small forward spot. And with a need for proven offense and an upperclassman as well, Stanley would be a near-perfect fit for the Musketeers.

3. VCU Rams

After losing their top player Marcus Santos-Silva to Texas Tech and many others via graduation, the Rams essentially have Nah’Shon Hyland and KeShawn Curry left from the rotation. The team did bring in center Brendan Medley-Bacon from Coppin State, who is likely to sit out next season. Adding another player in Stanley would help VCU remain a contender in the Atlantic 10.

The A-10 is also not as big a leap from the Big South compared to the power conferences, which would make Stanley more likely to succeed, rather than being buried on the bench on his new stop. The Rams also is a local option for him as well, potentially helping a pursuit.
