Frankie Collins is the latest NCAA Basketball prospect announcing a group of contenders. Which of them is the best potential fit?

One of the top pure point guards in the NCAA Basketball class of 2021 recruiting group is Frankie Collins, a consensus top-100 overall player. Originally from Arizona, the 6’1 playmaker is coming off a great individual campaign, averaging 13.9 ppg and 6.2 apg at Compass Prep.

Besides the quality passing, Collins has few clear weaknesses that need to be worked on. He’s a capable scorer at all levels, can defend at a high level, and can help out on the boards. While he’s not someone that projects as a future early NBA Draft pick, Collins can be a 3-4 year contributor and starter or whichever program he ultimately lands at.

While the AAU sessions have been canceled this offseason, Collins has a great opportunity to have plenty of eyes on him at a national level. He already has transferred high schools, electing to play in Nevada for powerhouse Coronado, along with five-star shooting guard prospect Jaden Hardy. Expect a ton of assists to come from Collins to Hardy during the 2020-21 season, potentially propelling him as a top-50 recruit.

But which program will Collins land at? He recently announced a top-8 list of potential suitors, including some big names. A number of them have a need for a point guard to come in and immediately contribute.

For this piece, here’s a ranking of where Collins would best succeed, including the roster scenarios, coaching stability, and ability to win in the future.
