Which NCAA Basketball programs are still in the running to land class of 2021 point guard Angelo Brizzi?

In the past few weeks, a number of talent point guards in the NCAA Basketball recruiting class of 2021 have recently announced a list of contenders for their respective services. And now recently, Angelo Brizzi, a natural point guard out of the state of Virginia, has done the same.

The recruiting process for Brizzi has been heating up in the last few months, garnering dozens of power conference offers. It’s an impressive feat for the 6’3 guard, who doesn’t play on national powerhouse high school or AAU programs. That could be why despite him having top-100 overall potential, Brizzi currently ranks in the top-120, just outside of being a “four-star” prospect, according to 247sportsComposite.

Brizzi is a natural scorer, averaging over 20 ppg as a junior in high school. He also racked up over six assists per game and is a solid passer. He projects as a capable rotation/player on top-tier programs and depending on which on he lands at, can end up being a multi-year starter and solid asset.

We now know which teams are officially in the running to land Brizzi. It’s not surprising to see multiple academically prestigious programs in play for the outstanding student-athlete. But will academics be the deciding factor in this process?

It’ll certainly be part of the equation, along with which teams and coaching staffs will be best for Brizzi in the long haul. Here’s a closer look at how he would fit with each individual contender.
