10. Erik Stevenson – Wichita State to Washington

2019-20 stats: 11.1 ppg and 4.7 rpg

Best described as a “volume shooter”, Stevenson had nights of 20+ points, while also having some where he went scoreless. But when the 6’3 guard is on, he can be as hard to stop as anyone. Leaving the Shockers and going close to home with a more defined role may be what’s best for him but he’ll have to be more consistent from the field to warrant those high attempts.

The Huskies could certainly use another capable guard, as last year’s perimeter fell apart once point guard Quade Green was suspended. Stevenson could play off the talented Washington point guard and take much better shots, as he won’t have to create as much for himself. And without any five-star frontcourt players this time around, this team will need great guard play to win games.

9. Yor Anei – Oklahoma State to SMU

2019-20 stats: 8.1 ppg and 4.7 rpg

When the news broke that Oklahoma State would be banned from postseason play for a year, most of the players, including No. 1 prospect Cade Cunningham, have elected to stay. However, junior forward Anei entered the portal, becoming a sought-after player known for elite defense.

The 6’10 forward pick the Mustangs, potentially replacing leading forward Isiaha Mike on the roster. They still have rising seniors Feron Hunt and Ethan Chargois to start if Anei can’t go but both are more offensively-minded athletes. Considering how much offense is still returning for SMU, adding a prime defender inside could vault this team towards to top of the AAC.
