NCAA Basketball: Ranking 2021 5-star Harrison Ingram’s top 6 schools
By Ian Mumm
Michigan Wolverines
The Wolverines received good news this offseason from leading scoring threats Isaiah Livers and Franz Wagner, both of which are returning to Ann Arbor for another season. The program will be able to bring their incoming depth along at a respectable pace, but they’re hoping that development will pay off in 2021 to pair with Ingram. If they can land the star wing, this team will feature little to no drop-off and can remain competitive in conference and nationally.
The 2021 class is already off to a great start with the commitments of Kobe Bufkin, Isaiah Barnes, and Will Tschetter. The class could receive the cherry on top with the commitment of Ingram, but his addition is much more than just ceremonial. His versatility on the perimeter and potentially as an effective high post threat can completely change how many lineups Juwan Howard has to work with.
His most effective position is small forward, but Ingram will be able to play 1-4 for the Wolverines when needed. His reliability in all these positions ensures there are no holes on the defensive end, should foul trouble or in-season injuries occur. The methodical play and physicality of Big Ten basketball could also prove to be an advantage for his development versus some of the other programs on his list.
