Top-100 wing Brandon Weston has taken the next step in his recruitment. Which NCAA Basketball teams are still in the running for his signature?

In the past couple of weeks, there has been a run of five-star NCAA Basketball prospects making their college decisions. That includes future stars such as Kennedy Chandler (Tennessee), as well as Matthew Cleveland (Florida State) and Kendall Brown (Baylor).

But there are also others ranked in the top-100 who although may not be surefire “one and done” future NBA prospects, could have an effective 3-4 year college career to help their respective team. One who fits this category is Brandon Weston, a 6’5 guard/wing out of the city of Chicago.

One of the top class of 2021 prospects from the state of Illinois, Weston averaged over 24 ppg and 10 rpg in his junior season at Morgan Park. He plans on playing for Hillcrest Prep in Arizona, but by the looks at his recent release of finalists, it looks as if he’ll be staying in the Midwest/East Coast area.

Weston is an elite and versatile offensive talent, capable of playing and defending at both the traditional shooting guard and small forward positions. If he can be a consistent double-digit producer, then one of these six NCAA Basketball programs will have a great asset to work with.

So which team has the best chance of landing Weston? With big-time programs such as St. John’s, Creighton and Arizona State now out of the picture, it could be anyone’s guess as to where he’ll pick. Here’s a look at the pros and cons of each situation, along with how he fits longterm.
