NCAA Basketball prospect Blake Wesley has announced a list of potential contenders for his services. Which of them are the best possible fits?

Another talented NCAA Basketball prospect from the midwest has taken the next step in his recruitment. Blake Wesley is a 6’4 shooting guard out of South Bend Indiana, who is ranked right around the top-100 overall in the class of 2021.

The guard averaged 26 ppg as a junior at South Bend Riley High School, known as an all-around scorer that can produce at all three levels. Even though he’s listed as a “shooting guard” Wesley still needs to work on a consistent three-point shot, but is a very good slasher and has a mid-range game as well. There are other areas of improvement in his game but this is a prospect that power conference programs are coveting.

That includes the Indiana Hoosiers, along with Notre Dame to be the “hometown” options for Wesley. It felt recently that the Hoosiers had an edge in his recruitment but with assistant coach Bruiser Flint heading to Kentucky, that may be the news needed to open things up for the other contenders.

That makes it 11 contenders that Indiana has to compete with. Wesley has some very good options, including some that have recently made it as far as the Elite 8. The top-100 guard could be the missing piece for one of them to take it to the next level.

The rest of this piece will be about how Wesley fits with each potential match, including early playing time and the ability to win. Which one will ultimately land his signature?
