With the order of the 2020 NBA Draft officially set following the lottery drawing, let’s look at our updated projections for the first round.

Summer is almost over, which means we’re getting ever so closer to the 2020 NBA Draft, currently scheduled for Oct. 16. There’s some uncertainty over whether the draft will be held on that date when all is said and done, based on the need to clear up fiscal issues regarding next year’s salary cap, but the draft is nonetheless still inching our way.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are officially on the clock following the lottery drawing, with the lottery gods gifting them the opportunity to take one of LaMelo Ball, Anthony Edwards, and James Wiseman, the consensus top three prospects in a class with no standout No. 1 guy.

Golden State, Charlotte, and Chicago round out the rest of the top four in a lottery that could pan out to be quite interesting, with a draft full of talented-yet-flawed prospects and multiple teams looking to trade out of their current spots.

All of this makes this year’s draft fairly unpredictable. It’s a bit easier to forecast who will go within the first 10 picks or so, but this is shaping up to be a draft with some major reaches and unexpected slides. This mock will look at what we think could happen, not necessarily what we think should happen, but we’ll throw in a few personal choices for each pick just for the fun of it.

With that said, here are our updated 2020 NBA Draft projections for the first round.
