NCAA Basketball: Ok State, Va Tech, and Minnesota among Sean Pedulla’s top 8

Colorado State Rams
After a subpar first season with the program, head coach Niko Medved is quickly showing his talents in turning around the Rams program. Medved guided the program to a 20-win season in 2019, and will look to carry over that momentum to 2020 with very low roster turnover. He has assembled a guard-heavy roster that could impede early playing time for Pedulla, but there are some opportunities for him to crack the lineup immediately.
Despite the large group of guards in front of his path to the court, the Rams utilized six backcourt players with at least 17 minutes per game. That’s plenty of opportunity for Pedulla to begin carving out a bigger and bigger role with the team from the moment he steps foot on campus.
However, the Rams were an exceptional group in creating opportunities for others and sharing the ball. They were 20th nationally in assists per game and naturally provide chances for Pedulla to score the ball and mesh with the rest of the group on the floor.
Colorado State was also an efficient group scoring the ball last season, but particularly struggled from the free throw line. Pedulla could help to improve that particular department for the Rams, but his overall knack for getting to the bucket and finding his teammates increases the chances that this program continues to play at such a high level. He fits very well with the Rams program and on-court philosophies and could be a strong addition to their roster.
