Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

With a roster filled with key upperclassmen, Fudge could be the focal point of the program for his career at Georgia Tech, rather than hoping to just start at some of the other options on his list. He would be a replacement for Jordan Usher, who’s set to graduate after next season.

Of all of the 10 teams contending for the recruit, I’m most sure that Georgia Tech is the most likely option for Fudge to start and have a sizeable role. The concern is that unless the program can add to him, they would find themselves back towards the bottom of the ACC and have to rebuild. That’s different than most of the other nine, who are likely to be making multiple NCAA Tournament appearances in the next four years.

LSU Tigers

Considered to be one of the favorites for Fudge, the Tigers would have a hole at the small forward spot if five-star freshman Cam Thomas departs. This is an offensive-friendly system that the wing could thrive in. And with the team having handled the frontcourt and backcourt for future seasons, it’s not surprising that they’re focusing on landing this top-50 recruit to add with the other three commits, including top-50 center Jerrell Colbert.

But in order for the scholarship numbers to fit, both Trendon Watford and Javonte Smart will have to enter and stay in the NBA Draft next Spring, which of course, would hurt the program’s odds of winning in 2022. And that doesn’t even include potential sanctions for both Coach Will Wade and the program due to their continued investigation from the NCAA for recruiting violations. If that can be sorted out, this would be a nice fit for Fudge.
