Next steps for Wake Forest Basketball

Muggsy Bogues, Chris Paul, Ish Smith, and Jeff Teague were all-star players to have ran the point for the Demon Deacons.  Whitt is going to have big shoes to fill but the point guard is going to up to the task.  Can he do something that the rest of these players and leave an indelible mark on the Wake Forest program?  Time will tell and judging by his game and how well regarded he is as a prospect that is a likely outcome.

The matter at hand becomes the scholarship situation with Whitt.  School is in session most anywhere and he already left Brewster academy.  With that being said he is likely going to be treated as a mid-year transfer not being eligible until December.  While this has not been confirmed this has been mentioned by many who have been following the recruitment as a likely scenario given the timing of the signing.

Even with everything Whitt should step right in whenever eligible and provide a huge boost to this offense and will is going to kickstart the rebuild for Coach Forbes.  One day soon the homegrown product will be able to be mentioned in the same breath as the other star point guards for the Demon Deacons.

How big of a star he becomes will be known in time but any way you slice it Whitt is a huge recruiting win for Steve Forbes and the Wake Forest program.
