The Ohio Valley has a slew of talented players and teams, including senior guard Josiah Wallace from Eastern Illinois.

The Ohio Valley Conference is not your ordinary run of the mill mid major conference. Quite the opposite, it is one of the most competitive conferences in the country and it has some of the best talent in the country for a mid-major.

The conference also consistently has some of the best players in the country at any level. Most recently Ja Morant and Dylan Windler and the league currently have Terry Taylor, Jordyn Adams, and Tevin Brown. Morant recently won the NBA Rookie of the Year and was one of the most electric players in college in his sophomore year.

Not only does the conference have exceptional talent it also has some strong teams. Austin Peay led by Taylor and Adams is expected to be one of the better mid major schools in the country. Murray State will be near the top of the conference again and Belmont is good every year. The Ohio Valley looks to be a multi-bid conference this year again much like they were in 2018.

The players mentioned above are not the only players in the league who deserved to be recognized. One of the best players in the league belongs to one of the league’s potential sleeper teams.

The team is Eastern Illinois and the player is senior guard Josiah Wallace. Eastern Illinois is not as talented as the top teams in this league, but they have a chance to finish in the top half of the league and make life extremely uncomfortable for the teams at the top.

Wallace proved last year that he is good enough to win some games by himself and head coach Jay Spoonhour is hoping Wallace will be remembered for his contributions on the court much like Tony Romo is remembered for his contributions as a Panther on the Football field.
