Top-50 NCAA Basketball prospect DaRon Holmes is down to just four options. Which of them will he ultimately land at?

Another talented process in the 2021 NCAA Basketball recruiting class has updated the process in their recruitment. This time it’s DaRon Holmes, a consensus four-star power forward out of the prestigious Montverde Academy.

He’s also ranked No. 39 overall in the 2021 class, according to 247sportsComposite. Holmes is 6’9 and around 200 pounds, who plays at both the power forward and small-ball center position. His versatility and physicality make him an intriguing frontcourt option, along with a growing outside shot. Add a strong defensive and rebounding presence, you have a two-way contributor in a number of different ways.

This is a player with plenty of potential long-term, which makes him as interesting as a prospect as a five-star recruit. Holmes likely isn’t a “one and done” NBA Draft candidate but over time can be a future All-Conference contributor and star of whichever program he picks.

While most players have an initial top-10 list, Holmes went straight to a final four. That could mean that a decision could be coming sooner rather than later, potentially before the start of the 2020-21 NCAA Basketball season.

One of these teams is about to land a top-40 overall recruit, with three of them not used to that kind of accomplishment. The other one (Arizona) is a little desperate to land Holmes after what happened a couple of weeks prior. Here’s a closer look at the forward’s potential fit with each of these four contenders.
