Who are the top Big 12 Basketball players for the 2020-21 season?

Big 12 Basketball over the past decade has been among the elite in all of College Basketball. With Kansas as the perennial powerhouse, it seems like a revolving door for who claims the 2nd spot, very similar to Oklahoma in Football.

Whether a full season will be completed or not, this year’s Big 12 is looking to be the best it has been in about a decade. What has helped that immensely, is the returning production that the majority of the conference brings.

The NBA draft could’ve been the biggest winner of the off-season for the Big 12, swooping up players like Kansas G Marcus Garrett and Baylor’s duo Macio Teague and Jared Butler.

With all of them returning, it seems to be like a race between Baylor and Kansas, similar to how last season’s ending went. However, there are a few teams with star-studded players that can make a case for one of the two top spots.

Texas brings back a ton of production and per usual, got a commitment from an elite recruit in the frontcourt.

Texas Tech has Jahmi’us Ramsey walking out of the door, but brings in Georgetown Transfer G Mac McClung, to go along with Kyler Edwards.

West Virginia has the best frontcourt in the conference, both that will be featured along with the list that we have gathered together.

The Big 12 on average has 70% of their teams, making the NCAA Tournament, and a couple gets a deep run, just about every season. The depth of this conference and the round-robin slate creates even more excitement.

With all of that being said, we’re going to take a deep dive into the 15 best players in the conference. There are some worthy notable players to include as well, so there is an honorable mention list, for those who couldn’t quite make the cut.

Honorable Mentions:

Nimari Burnett G (Texas Tech), Terrence Shannon G (Texas Tech), Tyron Grant-Foster F (Kansas), Isaac Likekele G (Oklahoma State), Derek Culver F (West Virginia), Rasir Bolton G (Iowa State), Kevin Samuel F (TCU)
