464. . . . Brady Manek. 5. player

In what seems like his 6th year in college, Manek cracks the top 5 as he might be the best 3 point shooter this conference has to offer. With his 6″9 height, Manek is a rare specimen, when it comes to how well he can shoot the basketball and how long he has been doing it for.

This will be Manek’s fourth year starting at Oklahoma, as he has averaged double figures, all three of his previous seasons with the Sooners.

Manek had his best season yet last year, averaging 14.4 PPG while maintaining his ridiculous 38% mark from 3 point range. Manek set a career-high in rebounds (6.2), and still shot a very respectable 45% from the field. Since his freshman year, Manek has made significant strides from the free throw line, improving his percentage from 60 to nearly 78%.

One of the rare things about Manek is that he doesn’t need to take several 3 point shots and finds efficient ways to be a threat from beyond the arc. Only 5 out of the 31 games Manek played in last year, did he shoot less than 40% from the field. That is an outstanding mark and one, very few players in College Basketball can do.

Manek isn’t exactly the most dominant player down low and isn’t going to consistently win near the basket. Manek does have solid defense and uses his height and wingspan to get away with at times.

Manek does tend to get blown by while being an on-ball defender. Oklahoma isn’t a strong defensive team and was near the bottom half of the conference a season ago in most statistical categories.

With all of that being said, there are very few people that can be as big of a threat as Manek is. Manek possesses the kind of explosiveness that could win the Sooners a few ballgames that they should have no business being in.
