Villanova’s schedule so far

Scheduling for this very unique season has been difficult, with no blueprint to look at across the college basketball landscape, it was left up to the conferences as to how they wanted to approach both non-conference and conference play, and even at this juncture schedules are still being worked out.

For the Big East, they have decided to stick with a 20-game schedule with hopes that the conference slate could begin as early as mid-December. With regard to Villanova, Coach Wright has stated that it is his hope that the team would be able to play the maximum number of non-conference games.

The Wildcats have never been the type of program to shy away from tests during the non-conference portion of their schedule, having played Ohio State, Baylor, and Kansas last season. Not much is known of the Wildcats’ schedule right now, but look for them to take part in the bubble held at Mohegan Sun.

They will play Arizona State in the Empire Classic, they also have the Virginia Cavaliers on their schedule and a tilt at Texas for the Big East/Big 12 challenge. They should be favorites to win the Big East, but they will certainly be tested during their non-conference slate.
