Isiah Joe leaving struck a blow to Arkansas Basketball’s offseason, but even with a lot of new faces, the Hogs have plenty of talent. Here’s a look at the 2020-21 team.

After a four-year stint at Nevada averaging over 27 wins per season and three trips to the NCAA Tournament Eric Musselman decided to move on to greener pastures. In the 18 months since  Musselman was named the new head coach at Arkansas Basketball, he has hit the ground running hard, seemingly at every turn Arkansas has been suitors for every transfer and any recruit they want.

He has certainly re-energized the fanbase in Fayetteville, and despite going 20-12 and just 7-11 in the SEC, all but two of those league losses were by ten points or less.

After losing six of their top seven scorers from last season, a lot of roster turnover seemed inevitable and that certainly kept Musselman busy this summer. The Razorbacks’ roster now consists of a lone senior and two juniors with the rest of the roster made up of five freshmen, three redshirts, and four graduate transfers.

With so many new faces on the floor and the truncated practice times, it will be extra important for Arkansas to take advantage of that time in hopes of limiting any in-season growing pains for the team.

With the talent coming in the Razorbacks should improve over their 10th place finish in the conference last season. How much they improve will undoubtedly be tied to how well and quickly this new roster can meld together. In his second season, we should start to see Musselman’s fingerprints all over the Arkansas program which should whip the fanbase into a bigger frenzy.
