What does Creighton Basketball’s schedule look like?

Now that most of the conferences have laid out how they plan to handle conference play, we know the Big East plans on playing a 20-game schedule, although the details of which are yet to be known. Judging by what other conferences have planned out, the conference will likely try and limit the amount that teams travel as much as possible.

Creighton will open the season in Sioux Falls, S.D. for the Crossover Classic, opening the season against Utah followed by a game against either Dayton or Wichita State and the final day of the event will see the Bluejays face off with one of four teams; Ohio State, Memphis, West Virginia or Texas A&M.

Outside of the Crossover Classic, not much is known about Creighton’s non-conference schedule other than the fact they will take part in the Big East/Big 12 challenge and it is unclear if their scheduled game with Arizona State will still take place now that the Pac-12 has voted to start the season on Nov. 25th.

McDermott has said that he wants to get the team as many games as possible before conference play (in case there are postponements or cancellations) to make sure they meet the 13-game minimum for qualification to the NCAA Tournament.
