5. Cleveland Cavaliers – Deni Avdija

Cleveland surprisingly is not in a bad spot following the post-LeBron James era. They have a good backcourt with a ton of superstar potential in Collin Sexton and Darius Garland.

They have a pretty good front-court core in former all-star center Andre Drummond and another former all-star Kevin Love. They even got Kevin Porter last year in a steal at the 30th pick. But, Cleveland could use another wing playmaker and I think Deni Avdija would fit perfectly here.

Deni is an excellent playmaker and rarely turns the ball over. He is a very crafty finisher inside and is excellent at drawing fouls at the cup. Deni’s three-point shot is questionable, but he has good mechanics and his shot should improve the longer he is in the league. And a lineup of Sexton, Garland, Deni, Love, and Drummond should make up for Deni’s lack of shooting for now.

Cleveland has a pretty good young core and I think Deni would fit great in Cleveland as another primary ball-handler. Which will be able to take a lot of pressure off of Sexton and an aging Kevin Love who has been injury-prone the past couple of years.
