Since the turn of the 21st century, Big 12 basketball has been a consistent threat, and for many years, been headlined by one player that stood out from all of the others. These players have molded the Big 12 into what it is today.

For some, they have reached incredible heights in their NBA careers, setting themselves up to be superstars, or superstars further down the line. For others, they shined overseas, while others couldn’t just quite make the jump to the next level.

From freshman phenoms to players that blossomed later in their careers. Players who would score the ball in many ways and make national headlines on a consistent basis.

The electric scorers of Trae Young and Buddy Hield made every Oklahoma game “must-see”, when the Sooners were on TV.

Blocking many of shots was Udoka Azubuike and ruining your favorite team’s chances of escaping the Jayhawks with a win.

LaceDarius Dunn scoring consistently from 3-point range and breaking Big 12 records in the process.

These are just a few of the notable players that have made the Big 12 the best basketball conference over the past eight seasons.
