13. Monte Morris – G Iowa State (2013-2017)

Career Stats (4 seasons): 12.2 PPG, 5.5 APG, 38% 3P

Monte Morris is the example of a guy that was not going to light up the box score but just knew how to win ball games. The duo of him and Georges Niang won the Cyclones a lot of ballgames during their four years together.

He led the Cyclones to their highest finish in the AP poll since 1997 in his junior season, when the Cyclones reached the #4 ranking in the country. Morris would score 21 points and nine assists in their upset win over Kansas during that season.

Morris would continue to be Kansas’s kryptonite as the next season. Morris would drop 25 points on 9-16 shooting from the field as the Cyclones would once again upset Kansas, this time in Allen Fieldhouse.

Morris’s ability to pass the ball will go unnoticed and was a guy that very seldom turned the ball over (42 turnovers his entire senior year)

Monte Morris has gone on to have an above-average career so far and was a main key in the Denver Nuggets playoff run this past season.
