UConn Basketball: 2020-21 season preview for the Huskies
Schedule Outlook
If I’m honest I have no idea what the schedule entails, I’ll go off what’s been confirmed but it’s definitely going to change, probably more than once. Hurley announced some concern given that the Huskies had to shut down camp for 14 days right before the season. UConn would have less than a week before their first game.
UConn is slated to start with Vanderbilt on December 1st with either USC or BYU two days later. This early-season tournament saw the Legends Classic move to Mohegan Sun. UConn is rumored to have games with Central Connecticut and Hartford scheduled for 11/25 and 11/27 but those games have not been confirmed.
That’s all I know about for non-conference games right now, UConn will make their return to Big East play with Saint John’s on December 11th and Georgetown on 13th. A game Husky fans should have circled on their calendar will be December 20th when the Huskies will host Creighton.
It doesn’t seem the Huskies are planning to play more than a handful of non-conference games making the Big East games that much more important. The Huskies will be making their return to the Big East looking to reach their first NCAA Tournament under Dan Hurley. Of the announced Big East games UConn will also travel to Providence on 12/17 and travel to Depaul on 12/23.
