The Atlanta Hawks will have the 6th overall pick in the upcoming 2020 NBA Draft. Here are three players they should consider taking.

The Atlanta Hawks continue their franchise rebuild after finishing with a 20-47 record in the 2019-20 NBA season, the fourth-worst record in the league. Atlanta missed out on qualification for the NBA Bubble in Orlando. Rising star point guard Trae Young posted averages of 29.6 points and 9.3 assists per game, landing an All-Star selection in just his sophomore season.

Other than Young, there were plenty of players for Hawks fans to be excited about. Forward John Collins averaged a double-double with 21.6 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. University of Maryland product Kevin Huerter shot 38% from beyond the arc in his second year.

Rookies De’Andre Hunter and Cam Reddish put together solid seasons, each posting double-digit scoring numbers. The future seems bright for Atlanta’s young squad, and they have an opportunity to add yet another promising young player in this upcoming NBA Draft.

The 2020 NBA Draft Lottery saw the Atlanta Hawks wind up with the 6th overall pick. Despite this being lower than the lottery odds projected, there will still be solid prospects available at No. 6. Here are three of the players the Hawks should look at selecting with their first-round pick.
