Five-star NCAA Basketball prospect Hunter Sallis is down to eight potential suitors.

NCAA Basketball National Signing Day came by last week, with a ton of talented class of 2021 prospects signing letters of intent. There also were surprise commitments from five-star prospects Moussa Diabate and Caleb Houstan to Michigan. However, there are still plenty of talented five-star recruits left on the board, including Hunter Sallis.

One of the biggest risers in the entire 2021 recruiting class, Sallis went from nearly unranked to the top-10 overall. The 6’4 combo guard is an elite athlete who has developed his ball-handling skills to play both perimeter positions.

Originally from the state of Nebraska, Sallis has received dozens of offers from power conference programs. A couple of months ago, the five-star recruit announced a list of 12 teams that were in the running. Now in the latest update, four have been cut.

The teams cut from consideration includes Auburn, Michigan, Alabama, and Louisville. Those are teams who already landed quality guard talent in the 2021 recruiting class, so it’s not a big blow for those respective programs.

Now, we’re down to eight. There are some that are viewed as having a better chance than others at the moment but like Sallis and his development, anything can happen so expect the potential unexpected.

Here’s a look at how Sallis potentially fits with each of these eight suitors, including the projected future rosters and ability to win in the likely lone season of NCAA Basketball.
