Perimeter players who need to improve their games for the 2020-21 NCAA Basketball season.

When I think of NCAA Basketball guards that people need to keep an eye on in 2020-21, at least 20 names come to mind right away.

Some of those names include Will Richardson (Oregon junior guard, who averaged 11.0 points per game last season), Geo Baker (Rutgers senior guard, who averaged 10.9 points per game last season), Quentin Grimes (Houston junior guard, who averaged 12.1 points per game last season), AJ Lawson (South Carolina junior guard, who averaged 13.4 points per game last season), and James Bouknight (UConn sophomore guard, who averaged 13.0 points per game last season).

And while those guys are fascinating players, who have unlimited potential, I managed to come up with five different guards, that I want to evaluate in this article.

Why am I doing this? Well, because I had a chance to study these five players closely last season, and there are holes in each of their games, that I feel the need to point out. In addition to breaking down some of their weaknesses, I will also be highlighting some of their strengths, so that you can see why they receive the respect that they do.

So what’s the end game here? Well, at the conclusion of this article, I want you to recognize that all of the players that I am going to discuss are supremely talented, and have earned the right to say that they are good/above average players. However, if they want their names, and the word elite to be in the same sentence, they next to take the next step(s) in their individual games.

So as always, sit back, make sure that you are comfortable, and be ready to pay attention, because you certainly don’t want to miss any valuable information in this piece.
