What should be expected of Kentucky Wildcats Basketball this season?

It’s that time of year again… Time for basketball pundits to spend the next four months talking about a lack of experience on Kentucky’s roster. Will they struggle to start the season? How can they win the big one with a bunch of freshmen? In bluegrass country, fans will have to ignore this lazy talking point, just in the same way they have for the last 11 years.

It’s been pretty easy to tune out the noise. Since 2010, nobody has more NCAA Tournament wins than Kentucky Basketball. Or overall wins. Or Final Four appearances. And they have already won the big one with a bunch of freshmen. This season figures to be another promising one. Kentucky has a deep, well-rounded roster, a rejuvenated coaching staff, and a level of focus cultivated by COVID cabin fever.

Last week, nearly 75 scouts tuned in for Kentucky’s annual Pro Day. Read that sentence again – Kentucky does a pro day for its entire team. Before the season. This roster is good.

Let’s take a closer look at the roster, schedule, and expectations for the 2020-21 Kentucky Wildcats.
