Which Big Ten Basketball players are important to their team’s success this season?

Now that the 2020-2021 NCAA basketball season is finally getting underway on Wednesday, college basketball fans can breathe a sigh of relief. College basketball is back. Fans were left unsatisfied with how the season ended due to the COVID-19 pandemic abruptly shutting down everything, which included the cancellation of the 2019-2020 NCAA Tournament.

Fans were robbed of getting to see their favorite teams and players vying for a shot at the title. But no more dwelling on the past, the new season is officially upon us.

As per usual, Big Ten Basketball looks like the toughest group of teams in the country. There are a few really talented teams at the top, like Wisconsin, Michigan State, Illinois, and Iowa, who returns the conference player of the year and National Player of the Year favorite, big man Luka Garza.

There are also teams that could shoot for the conference title, like Indiana, Maryland, Ohio State, and Michigan. However it shakes out, every team that makes the tournament from the Big Ten will be a tough out.

The Big Ten is full of star players, like Garza and Illinois’ Ayo Dosunmu, who are both heavy National Player of the Year favorites. There are also incoming freshmen who could be stars, including 5-star Indiana point guard Khristian Lander and Illinois 4-star shooting guard Adam Miller.

But today, we’ll look at the guys who are crucial for their teams to be successful, their performance is imperative to the team being good.
