UW Looks Good, but it’s Early

A 2-0 start is a 2-0 start, but with the opponents for Wisconsin being teams that Greg Gard expects his team to beat, it doesn’t mean much. As mentioned in the open, these matchups are more for seeing what you’ve got on your roster rather than getting a win. And the same goes for Arkansas-Pine Bluff who is coming off a season where they went 4-26.

The start mentioned earlier with the 25-0 run to start the game was the most impressive thing to come out of the night, along with the win and depth of the roster getting playing time.

In that opening run, Wisconsin dominated in all facets, from team defense to spreading the wealth. Wisconsin played the opening 10 minutes about as well as you could see.

That being said, it was against this Arkansas-Pine Bluff team that is in a complete rebuilding mode. So as far as the win, it means little. But the way they got the win was the more impressive thing.

Next. Biggest winners and losers of opening week. dark

Having no fans is absolutely different, but the Wisconsin Badgers have had no issue thus far, starting the season 2-0. Up next for UW is a matchup on December 1 against Green Bay.
