Carlik Jones has been on a tear through the first three games

To say that Radford graduate transfer Carlik Jones has been impressive would be a grave understatement. Jones leads the Cardinals in just about every statistical category. It has been a pleasant surprise for Cardinal nation to have production from Jones be what it has been.

He leads Louisville in points at 17.0 points per game and has tallied impressive rebounding (7.3 rpg) and assist (5.7 apg) numbers as well. Jones has shot threes at a 60% clip and has shot it above 40% on his entire career from beyond the arc.

Continuing with his current state of efficiency will put Jones in All-ACC talks quite soon. But the Hilltoppers have a high-scoring senior guard of their own to compete against Jones. Taveion Hollingsworth (19.0 ppg) simply scores the basketball. He has put up well over 1500 career points, and will likely be above 2000 if for a full season.

Jones and Hollingsworth are two of the better senior guards in the entire country, and to see them go head-to-head will be quite a treat. Hollingsworth relies slightly more on the three-point shot, while Jones carves his way through defenders at a high level. Jones tends to be a better distributor, assisting at over 5.0 assists per game for each of the last three years. Regardless of the outcome, this one is set to be class-A entertainment.
