This Baylor Basketball team has been dominant in its first three games. What do the Bears need to do to beat #1 Gonzaga?

NCAA Basketball fans are getting the early opportunity to see a game that could very well be seen again late in the NCAA Tournament, or even the National Championship. The matchup between the #1 ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs and the #2 Baylor Bears will be a spectacle like no other.

The contrasting styles and the different ways in which the two squads beat their opponents make this an interesting matchup that is definitely worth watching. Gonzaga has done well so far to show that its frontcourt may be the toughest in the country. In the same light, Baylor’s backcourt appears to be the most talented and the deepest unit in the country.

Through the first three games, this Baylor basketball team has devastated its opponents on both sides of the ball with exceptional guard play. Juniors Jared Butler and Davion Mitchell, along with senior MaCio Teague, make up the starting trio that headlines this great backcourt; however, the depth behind them is what helps make this team a National Title contender.

With respect to its guards, it is easy to say that teams are going to struggle all year to prevent the Bears from putting incredible numbers on the scoreboard, but is this team good enough to be the very best team in the country? The game against Gonzaga may certainly answer that question.

While Gonzaga is a great all-around team with arguably the best frontcourt in NCAA Basketball, Baylor basketball will have to step up in a variety of ways in order to take them down. What do the Bears need to do to get the job done?
